I used my own boat, they were in another.
We ended up with 11 slabs, throwing back several smaller fish.

My 40 pounder is an estimate of a snapping turtle that I hooked on his shell.

They actually don't fight that hard.
He was about 16" in diameter with a 5" head?

He finally broke off.

I am looking at buying a flat bottom boat. I am not gonna put a motor on it. I don't plan on taking it out into the lake just around Horseshoe bend as they call it. I was thinking of putting a trolling motor on it. now I am not sure if thats considered a motor and its powered so it has to be titled and tagged or not.

Reason I ask is a buddy of mine from kansas has a 14' flat bottom he would sale to me for $300 sitting on a trailer. according to him they don't title boats in kansas. not sure but will be sold with a bill of sale.

questions are
1. if I buy boat and use a trolling motor does it have to be titled and tagged then?
2. worth buying the boat and using bill of sale to get titled and pay all the registration fees/penalties if any over just going to bass pro and buying a new flat bottom?

I don't care if I catch a fish but, I really want my wife to be able to haul in a few because this is gonna be her last fishing trip for a while, before she has to have heart surgery again...

My wife Terry, has shown no interest in fishing until I mentioned going to the L.I.R. for trout and catfish and then she got excited about it. She wanted me to ask you guys if you could point out any specific spots where you thought she would stand a good chance of catching fish. She is gonna use spinning gear for trout and casting for catfish...

I remember someone here mentioned a few times about a spot where a fella could pay $50 or so and be put on a field o' sunflowers or milo for the day and could shoot their limit. I'm taking my son out hopefully (he'll be 10) in the fall for dove and would appreciate any info on some "pay to hunt" spots for dove this September.
