I've got plenty of cool blasters, but little quality carry gear. After recommendations from other members, I went to Looper Leather today. I was really impressed. I drive past that area all the time, but didn't know it existed.

I ordered the Leather/kydex insert belt for $29. They had several there, but none in my size. The service was good. I'm excited to see how well it works.

That place is a great find....I didn't know they existed either until a buddy of mine who's dad was an old-time Oklahoma LEO filled me in.

Where is it?

I can never have enough carry gear but I am getting very fond of my Wilderness belt with the insert.

It's on the I-35 service road (east side) a few blocks North of SE 25th ST.

I'm pretty sure I've seen it. Never knew that it had carry gear. Cool.

loopers stocks some hard to find gear and the service has always been pretty good for me, spec ops on portland has alot of carry gear also, prices arn't great but they almost always have the stuff I'm looking for in stock.

Almost all of my gear has came from the net but it wil be nice to have local options for the normal stuff.

Their belts are much cheaper than prices on the net.

I brought my Don Hume JIT (my smallest holster) to test for fit with the belt width. As I have the holster halfway out of my pocket, some lady says "Oh that's the JIT, it will take up to 1.75in don't worry it will fit."

I was rather impressed. She knew her business.

My dad just got that exact belt. He is happy with it except it took twice as long as they told him it would take. When he finally got it, it was not what he ordered, so he had to order another one and wait again. He has bought some holsters from them too, and they are good people to deal with! I definately like to support the local guys!

Darn! When I was there, they had 4 or 5 size 56 belts. They must have sold them all. I guess those are still too small for you??

:nutkick:

Maybe I should just by two 30's and chain them together.

I picked up my belt this morning. This thing is heavy duty. I've been wearing it for about 5 hours and my holster hasn't moved a bit. With my normal belt it would sag a little. Within 30 minutes I would catch my self adjusting it.

I think this leather/kydex belt for $29 is an awesome deal. It looks good and performs even better.

After a few weeks of use, I'll give an update on how it's held up.

I have had my Looper belt for about a week now, I think its a great belt, no sagging no flopping holster and they look sharp.

Went and got my Looper kydex belt today and I really like it too! They have quite an assortment of goodies that I will have to go back and look at. They had all their regular (not the kydex) belts on sale for $10.00 too, which is a good deal, you cant get a decent belt for that price!

I'm glad we are sending business their way.....OKC's best kept secret. Wonder why they don't do much advertising?

So far it has been perfect. It is still rock solid.

If you don't have a good carry belt. Consider the looper leather/kydex carry belt.

I use the Wilderness Belt. I don't really have a nice dress/gun belt. I would like to get one.
