Actually, I am married and have a 5 year old daughter. I bought my FA toys back in the early 90's when they were much cheaper. I have just been updating/upgrading them in the last year or two after I sold off some of my other stuff. The price of the accessories and suppressors are bad enough, but there is no way I could afford any MG's if I had to buy them at today's prices. I wish I had bought a lot more way back when!

AHHHH, I see......very cool. So back in the early 90's.....roughly about what did the M16 lower cost? I've heard they're around the 10-12K price range right now. :screwy:

I paid $950 for my lower (+$200 transfer tax) in 1992. At the time I thought that I was being ripped off. Now, I wish I had gone into debt and bought 20 of them! I have seen some M16's going for as "low" as $7500 lately.

I bought my M11/9 W/ suppressor for $800 + $400 in taxes in '97 from Claud Hall. I'm stil kicking myself though, as I passed on a Colt RR w/ Ceiner suppressor for $3000 (asking price). :smack:

Well, I shouldn't have said I finally got my M11 just the way I wanted. I received an e-mail from Richard Lage earlier this week that he has some of his MAX-11 Slowfire Uppers ready to ship. I was #3 on the waiting list and mine should be here next week. I will post a new pic when it arrives.

Are these SMG that you all are talking about Full Auto or Semi Auto? How much do all the accessories cost, such as the suppressor/silencer, the buttstock.....?

I 've looked at the site, but have yet to receive an e-mail. I inquaried about getting on a waiting list a few months ago.

Chocobo,

We are talking about full-auto's. SMG = SubMachineGun. The accesories are not too expensive. I paid $120 for the folding stock and $300 (+$200 transfer tax) for the suppressor. The machinegun itself is the expensive part. M11/9's are going for $2500-$3000 now (+$200 transfer tax). They are about the cheapest class III you can get.

patrickcudd,

Try contacting Richard again and he will tell you where you are on the list. I contacted him in November of last year expressing an interest. He didn't tell me that he put me on a waiting list, but apparently he did. You may be on the list and closer than you think. Good luck.

I got my Lage MAX-11 Slowfire Upper today and I am very pleased with it. I took off the flash hider that comes with the gun and replaced it with a TROS ½-28 to ¾-10 adapter so I could mount my suppressor. I also removed the lower rail off of the handguard since I don’t yet have a vertical grip to mount there. I mounted my EOTech and ran out to the local range to test it out. I fired about 100rds before it got too dark too shoot. Functioning was flawless. I used both 115gr and 147gr subsonic (when the suppressor was attached). It is definitely slower and far more controllable. It feels just like an Uzi as far as controlability and rate of fire. If you are considering one of these uppers I am sure you will be pleased. Here are a few pics.
