I just saw a pic of one at glocktalk, 1911 forum. That is one awesome looking gun! My dad has the black version and just loves it. The retail at the smith website says $1,029, so I'm thinking its around $800 or so around here.

I was really, really wanting the glock 38, but the last few times I've been to Outdoor America, they haven't had any 45gap ammo. I would hate to buy a new gun and not be able to shoot it.

This new 1911 is very tempting. I would like to have a lightweight .45 for carry.

Why do they have to keep coming out with all of these cool guns to tease me like this???????

If you really want to get one, get the one with the laser grip. I think those are so cool. I'll get one eventually but just not now. I think you can normally find some S&W 1911 LNIB pretty low price on the Glocktalk.com's firearm selling sections. I always like to browse there to see what other people wants to sell and every once in awhile you can find a good deal. I found some good deal there sometime. I also found some good deal on this Web sites classified section. :wink2:

I don't care for the 45gap cartridge. I think maybe after a decade or so you will see it go by the wayside. I would get the S&W for sure! .45Acp has been around for ever and you can get it in any configeration you want.
