So far, I have not had the joy to fire a 550 series rifle. I have wanted one since I was a little kid. I have been on a waiting list for a 556 since they were announced.

As with any weapon everyone has things about them that they don't like. The only thing that I did not like about the 552 is such a small thing compaired to the HUGE +++'s it gets in other areas.

I really wouldn't call it a beef, more like... it would just take some getting used to the cocking handle being on the right side and needing to turn the gun away from your target to get to it or use my right hand but then your away from the trigger... or could just be me being picky as always...:lookaroun

I see. As a recreational shooter, that is not an issue in the least for me. I can see that being a slight hindrance for a professional though.


I would kill for a 552. Sadly, as a mere mortal, I will have to settle for a 556. Maybe someday I could justify getting an FFL/SOT and get some to demo to PDs.

Only shoot, and I too would love to own one, but I might settle for a side folder 556 and SBR it. How KEWL would that be!!:woot:
