Just wondering how you liked it. Haven't heard much about them here lately.
Don't go that route,Stepper.
There's no ammo. ;)
I *really* want a G38 but the ammo availability kills it dead in the water as far as I'm concerned.

Love the G38 feels more like shooting the 40 S&W. Ammo is high I pay 16.95 for a box of 50 Speer Lawman Ammo for practice and 20.95 for 20 Federal Hydra-shok.

When the 38 first came out a few months ago, I was concerned about the ammo. I went to OA, and they had 2 different kinds and they were cheaper than .45. Well, the last month, I keep checking OA, and they haven't had anything except hollow points at $16 and up per box.
Its kind of turned me off here lately too! Its the perfect size for me though as far as carry, plus its a .45 (almost).

Do you have one? :gun1:
Yep,I knew that would happen.
But like I said,I wish the GAP would take off because I'd buy a G38 in a heartbeat.

I was ready to get one when I heard OA had cheaper ammo. Stepper had just about talked me into it.

With so many Glock owners, what is that keeps people like us from going and buying them?
If we did then it would be taking off. We are all sitting back waiting for somebody else to make it happen.

I was planning on buying one in January or February. I don't have a carry .45, so I thought it would be perfect. But, like I said, the ammo scares me. I don't want to have to order ammo for it over the internet all the time to be able to shoot it.
Yea, I almost talked the Dr. into buying one! OA had 2 or 3 brands of ammo for it and they it was only like $8.30 per box or so. It doesn't look like that ammo was replaced after they sold all of it.
I was excited because it looked like they were going to be carrying alot of the ammo. Thats the only thing thats holding me back on it now.
I would really like to shoot it too before I decide for sure.

All of us glock lovers must unite and purchase our beloved 38s.
Come one, come all and let us experience the power of the gap.

I'm in. I guess I can sit and hold it and stare at it until OA gets some ammo in.......

We should buy all the ammo we can find on line and stock up on it.
In about 2 years, G37-39 will be on sale for dirt cheap at this rate.

I just read that the USMC ordered 10k of the 38 back in the spring. I'm surprised that they would buy something in bulk like that and not have any clue as to the future of the ammo.
Oh well, they're not spending they're money.

I haven't heard that before. I'm kind of shocked too. Its not really a proven gun or caliber, but its still a glock, so its got to be good!

Did you read it from a reliable resource?
That USMC story has been proven bunk.
I'm not going throught the hassle of finding a link though.
Like I said,I love the .45GAP but i'm not going to end up with another 357SIG only worse.
i jumped on the 357sig bandwagon early on and watched it peak.
WalMart still doesn't sell ammo for it and the gunshops that even have it are too expensive (for me anyway)

bought one, bought some ammo, never shot it. pretty sad.
i was thinking about carrying it instead of my G30, but being short a couple of rounds in the mag makes me think twice...JP will tell ya, i need all the shots i can get.
At least you can handle a Skoal can.
Right after I hung up with you this morning,Kyle,I spilled a whole can in my lap and all over the truck.
That sucked,to say the least.

How could you buy a new gun and some ammo, and not go shoot it?????????
As soon as I buy a new gun, I do a fast clean and oil and off to the range I go!
I would love to shoot one of those bad boys. I really want to shoot the thing before I buy it though!!!!

1. at the time i had about 24 Glocks and couldn't figure out which one to shoot.
2. it it's anything lile the Glock37, then i know what it shoots like.
3. JP, better luck next time with the dirt. it's a little tricky, but after about 6 years, i think you'll have it mastered.

I am new to the forum, and was wondering if anyone save their 45 GAP brass. I have a G37, and planning a G38 in the future. I reload my own 45 GAP, but as you might imagine GAP brass is not as easy to get as 40. If anyone is selling their brass for a good price, I would be interested in buying it. Thank you.
