Opening weekend of deer season

Well, I sat in a tree for several hours, it was HOT! But ya' know, it beats working!!!! :) I sweated (is that a word?) my bo-bo off. I didn't see any deer, but I had two racoons goofin' around under my tree for about 30 minutes. I can't wait for the weather to change!!!!

It looks like I'll have to sit this season out unless something changes later on.
I hate hot weather.
You jump through hoops to get scent free and then by the time you haul it through the woods and up a tree,you're sweatin' your tail-end off. :)

I've got the jones in a *big* way but i'm still in no financial position to replace the bow i had to sell to my attorney. ('03 Hoyt RazorTec). :(

I never hunt with firearms except for the occasional rabbit or squirrel but i just get so much *more* out of bow hunting.

Haven't seen any deer yet, but I got into some turkey action yesterday evening. Missed a good sized gobbler because I guessed the range wrong. I hate when it's my fault. Right as it got too dark to see I hit a hen but made a poor shot and lost her. Spent most of this morning trying to find her with no luck.

I'm hoping to get a chance to make it out this year. Haven't been out in about 3 years now :(

If the weather doesn't change and cool down some, I will not go though
