I got a letter from OSBI yesterday saying that they have sented my conceal weapon license to the sheriff's office. I went to the sheriff's office today to pick it up. Ye.....ah That means I can carry a concealed weapon to protect myself now :gun2: :hyper:

Need to get some holster tho or get something small enough that'll fit in my pocket :rotflmao:

How long did you wait? I'm at 41 days and counting right now.

It's cheaper to pay now to carry it than it is to pay later for carrying it with no permit. :bah: I know where you're coming from though.

They said 90 days, but it only took me about 45.

I don't really remember how long I waited. I had to refingerprint once, because they don't think my first print was good enough. I also had to show them my U.S. Citizenship document because I wasn't born in the U.S. So it was delayed a couple of times. But once I got all those strighten out, I received their notice pretty fast.

He's too busy making extra trips to Wal-Mart with his new CCW to post.
:rollingla

Mine took the full 90 days but that was back in 1996 or so.

If I remember right - mine was about a couple days shy of 90 - that was in '96 as well

Well, I haven't really carry a weapon on me to go to wal-mart yet. I mainly just carry it in the car. I just haven't got time to shop for a real good inside the pants holster. I wanted to carry the DW CBOB 1911 that I have. I need to find a holster that I can carry inside my pants comfortably so that no one can see I am carry a weapon. :flybuzz: :anyone:

However, I did get a weapon that is small enough to fit in my pocket. It's a CZ RAMI 9MM. Is it legal to carry in your pocket? :screwy:

It is. Great gun too, but it might be a little thick for pocket carry depending on your attire. And I would still get a cheap pocket holster (like Uncle Mikes) to cover the trigga. Check Don Hume for a good quality, affordable IWB. I like the snaps better than the clips. YMMV.

I've had my CCw since it became legal to do so. I origionally carried a Beretta Tomcat, but I've been carrying a Kel-tec P3-AT lately. For the weight an reliability, you can't beat it!

You do need something to cover the trigger in your pocket. Custom made ones aren't that much more than others - you might try K & D Holsters- I think around $30 for pocket holsters. www.kdholsters.com

How about a good holster for your RAMI? this is one I has custom made from High Noon Holsters.
