Anyone have an AR-7? How do you like it? I've heard the old ones are junk but the newer ones made by Henry are decent. If anyone has any first hand experience, I'd love to hear it.

I've had mine for 2 years. It likes good ammo, cheap stuff and your jammed. It is light and nice for backpacking conditions. I bought this one for my youngest. He loves it. For what it is I'm surprised at how accurate it is. an easy shooter.

I have an Explorer II, the pistol version of the AR 7. It is an older one made by Charter Arms. I had a lot of problems with it when I first got it, trying to feed it cheap ammo. I found that it works best with CCI Mini Mags. It works good with Stingers too but I have read that the Stingers are a bit too much for them. I have been thinking about getting one of the new AR-7s made by Henry. These guns are one of them " love 'em or hate 'em" types.

The sights suck on all of them...They are not very accurate. I have had several throught the years. Great idea bad execution. I had mag problems.

You are right about the sights. The sights on the Explorer suck bigtime. Are the ones on the new Henry made AR-7s just as bad?
