Has anyone picked one of these up yet? I wonder how they compare to the P22's out there.

I don't think I would get one unless I already owned a Siq pistol and wanted a trainer that shot cheaper pactice ammo. Of course someone might want one just to have a look-a-like Sig. I have no problems with either reason(whatever trips your trigger and keeps people poppin' caps). But at $40 bucks a pop for spare magazines, it could get a little expensive. Another factor to consider, I never have heard exactly what the slide is made out of. And I also imagine that the initial production run will have the usual bugs and gremlins that will have to be ironed out. For now, I think I will stick with my Ruger where factory service, parts and after market parts are a known quantity and quality.

UPDATE: I have since found a review of the Mosquito on the Sig Forum. The seven yard target does not exactly qualify the Mosquito as a "tack driver".

They have since posted further "reviews" on Sigforums..... it was as accurate as claimed. Sig is equal to Ruger in all the aspects mentioned but I'll agree they don't have the aftermarket Ruger does, they really don't need anything out of the box IMHO.

I saw one of these at H&H. Nice little gun. I'd take one, but I have the P22, and don't really need it. Looks like a fun little gun.

A Freudian slip, perhaps?

I chose the Walter P22 over it for one reason only - $$$$ - I bought about a bizzillion rounds with it and still saved money.
