Almost every year I go down to Beaver's Bend which is a favorite spot for many Oklahoma fly fishers. Plus the countryside is absolutely georgous.

Here are a couple shots to show you what it looks like in case you've never been there. :)

Man,that's beautiful!
I've never been to Beaver's Bend/Mt. Fork but I flyfish the White River in AR a couple of times a year.I also go to the lower Illinois but it's not as pretty as either of those.

Thank you... I've been photographing that area for about 6 years now. :) Unfortunately only about 2 years were the conditions right for a photographic fall.

Kelly, your pics do a great job of capturing the light and scale of that country. I lived in Broken Bow for 3 years back in the 70's. Didn't know Oklahoma had that kind of topography til I moved down there. I espcially like your b&w shot of the cypress trees in the swamp. I used to go squirrel hunting in the swamp areas south of Eagletown.

no, sure don't. I haven't fished any since I left Northern Minnesota. :(

One of the best things about trout fishing is the scenery.
Trout live in pretty places. :)

I get down there (from Norman) about once every other month; I try to bring my fly rod whenever I go. I love my 5pc rod--fits in my flight bag beautifully.

So far, I have yet to find a fly that catches more fish than a simple green Wooly Bugger.

:werd:

I've caught more trout on #12 Olive buggers than any other fly.
