Me Glockender and SoonerGlockChic have talked in a chat room thing before. I was using my Trillion program to get withem....I'm assuming they were using AOL or at least AIM (they must both be newbs to the internet....and yeah SSG I'm callin you out on that! lol) because I had to d/l the AIM plug in for Trillion.

What are you talking about "newbs"...I pretty much live on the internet and her job requires her to be on the internet all the time ;). I was using AIM and I believe she was using Mac iChat (no idea what that really is because I have never dealt with Macs)

Yeah, I'm definitely no newbie!!! I basically live on the net. I've just never heard of trillion.. i'm an ichat user.

Trillions been around for a long time, the 1 program to control all other chat programs.....hmmm....sounds kindof like the Ring in Lord Of The Rings...hahaha.

Hey..if your on AIM....shoot me a IM sometime..yes..you guessed it Jeffro3006mag. I pretty much the only one with that s/n on the web that I know of anyway. Its always good to chat with locals.

This is a different kind of chat you're talking about, its IM (instant messaging) versus what is typically used on regular websites, IRC (internet relay chat). Yahoo and MSN have their own IM protocols and clients, but most website-chats use IRC. They are similar, but instead of one-on-one, you join a room with all your friends, like meeting at a local club over a beer with several of your friends, instead of just talking on the phone with one of them.
There is a client for Macs like Trillian, its called Adium, its a multiple-IM client, very similar to Trillian, but much more stable...like most things on a Mac. I have both.

If you want a live chat and not go thru all the hoops tune to northvalley.net go to "chat"...its open and has a lot of rooms as well as weirdo's...don't chat with them....
