If you were going to buy your first class III full auto weapon what would it be?
I am looking at the AC556, S&W 760 or the Swedish K. They are all pretty close in price.

Glock 18 or Hk MP5.

Of those three and in that price range, I'd have to go with the Ruger.

Glock 18 or Hk MP5.
There are no transferable G18's and an MP5 is probably 2.5 times the price of the weapons the OP mentioned.
Of the three Mousehouse listed I would go with the AC556. Mags and accesories are plentiful and Ruger provides factory support.
You might find an UZI for close to the price of an AC556.

I don't blame you for wanting one. I know several folks who have post 86 dealer sample full-auto Glocks and they are a blast to shoot (no pun intended).

Do you have $15,000? Have you committed any felonius acts? Are you a drug user? Are you a fugitive from the law?
If the answer to the first question is yes and the answers to the rest are no, then go here: sturmgewehr.com and buy you one.

The ones I listed in my first post are just some of the ones I have looked at. I would like to stay under $6000-$7000. Ideas or suggestions from those that have class III weapons.
I have a couple NFA items but just getting started in machine guns.

Other than the ones you have listed you might consider:
STEN
M2 Carbine
MAC series
You might find an AR-15 Lightning Link for $7K as well as an UZI or maybe even an FNC
You could get into an M11/9 and add a Lage MAX-11 slowfire upper and stay around $4K. It is one very nice setup.

Mousehouse,
If I were in your shoes (just getting into full-auto) I'd seriously look at an UZI. They're available in the 6K range, if you are patient and look around.
Very well built, reliable, fun gun. And here's the real kicker - 9mm is some of the cheapest ammo available! With a full-auto mag dumps, it's not hard at all to go through 1-2K rounds in an afternoon.
It was mentioned previously, but I'd like to put in a good word for the Sten. Crude, yes, but also simple, robust and battle proven. Parts are readily available if you ever should break anything, and mags are dirt cheap.
Shoots cheap 9mm and the rate of fire is lower than modern zip guns, which aids controllability and conserves ammo.
The Sten is an effective, fun-to-shoot weapon, just not the sexiest looking gun ever designed.

That are not in the price range the OP was asking about, but both are great guns.

If you get Ruger make sure it is a AC-556 not a FA mini-14. Ruger will fix the AC-556!!!!!!!!

My first was an KAC556K then followed shortly by a SWD/Cobray M11/9. Both are gone now, but of the two I like the KAC556 the best. It's just under double the price of the Mac, but Ruger will back it 100% and fix any problems are reasonable prices.
I have sent two back for new springs, new stock and SS refinishing. After shipping it cost about $175 door to door. You won't get that service from Cobray (or whichever Mac, Colt or anyone else for that matter).
If I had it to do over again, I would get an UZI. I have two now. They will eat about anything, they are easy to take apart to clean and there are replacement parts everywhere. New barrels are easy to get, unlike some of the ones that got snagged in the latest "sporting barrel ban".

Brandon,
If I was a moderator here I would edit your post and substitue the gun names with this:
My first was a 21 year old blond, then followed shortly by a 34 year old red-head. Both are gone now, but of the two I like the 34 year old red-head the best.

The problem I have with the sten is I am left handed. A friend of mine had one several years ago and it was fun to shoot but I had to shoot it right handed.
It never fails as soon as I get a fund of any kind built up something happens and I have to tap into it. My computer crashed last night and until I figure out why and what I need to fix it I will have to put all of my gun stuff on hold.

Ah yes! The "Chicago Typewriter" as an old man I knew used to call it. He was a cop in LA back in the 50's & 60's. He said he carried a Thompson .45 with the drum quite often on his beat..."The damned thing weighed 37 pounds!" I heard him say. He also carried a Smith "Pencil Barrell" .38 Special and a Colt 1911 for backup.
