Doc...those are sweet. One of these days I'll get busy with the digital camera.

Do you have any plans to upgrade? I put a one-piece guide rod and a 22# spring in my service model after seeing a couple photos of snapped recoil assemblies. As far as I know, there isn't a version for the sub, but if you have compared them side by side you can see it is stouter than the service model. The tacticals come with a one piece rod already

I don't have any plans to modify them yet. I haven't even shot them. I just took them out of the box for the pics.

I rarely modify my handguns. So far the only mods are night sights to my carry G26 and extended controls/3.5lb connector on my G19C. Other than that, all my pistols are 100% stock.

I had a tactical XD for a few days and traded it off. I regretted it and have wanted another since then. I got the service XD about a week ago. I got the sub hoping MrsDrBaker will like it for carry.

I took both XDs to the range last Wednesday. Both performed as expected with no failures. They won't replace my G19/G26, but they are definately keepers.
