I recently had the chance to shoot a Sig 220 and was very impressed. While I was not at all familiar with the gun, I found I could shoot tight groups, even allowing for a little pulling with the DA first shot. The follow up SA shots were similar to the 1911s I use all the time and were very satisfying.
What are your experiences with this weapon? How do they hold up to regular use?
I might have to start looking for one of these in stainless.

SIGs are excellent.
Very accurate and reliable weapons.
I shot a P220 extensively for about a year (free ammo) and the trigger only got better.
The finish didn't hold up well though as typical with all non-stainless SIGs.

I have the 220ST and love it. Never had a single malfunction. Very accurate. Built like a tank and weighs about as much as a tank... haha.

Great gun!

I had a Sig P220 in .45 ACP circa 1999 and I loved it. If I had to carry a .45 I think it would be my choice. It was more comfortable to me than the Glock 21, otherwise, of course, I'd choose the Glock 21. The Glock is lighter, higher capacity, easier to take apart and reassemble for cleaning, fewer parts, and accuracy wise, I think it will compete with the P220.

Had two of them.... had a P220R and a P220ST. Very nice guns and very accurate, I just shoot 1911s better.

Can't go wrong with a sig.
