These look hot, but I never see any feedback about them.

CDNN has the 9mm for $299

Wow, thats cheap. I've never heard anything about them. For that price, it might be worth a "shot".

They look pimptastic, but I hate to invest $299 in something that I haven't heard any feedback on.

If you really want one, wait until the 13th when they go on sale at my store. I believe that we are about $300 now and they will be less come the sale date.

After thinking about it, a friend of a friend bought a .45cal 24/7. Something broke in it the first time he took it out. The gun shop he bought it from took it back, and he spent some extra money for an XD. Again, I heard this from a friend; I don't know how much of it is true.

I have heard it said that the only good thing to come out of Brazil is the women. Or maybe a Springfield Mil-Spec. Regards

I just got back from SW and they have the 24/7 on sale for $289 w/2 17rd hi caps.

Excellent price. I just need to talk myself out of it.

Did anyone ever buy one? I am going shopping and was pondering on the 9mm version.

I didn't buy it, but SW had an awesome price.

My main reason for not buying was that the website now shows them as PT 24/7pro and the ones at the store didn't have the "pro" on the website. I don't what the diff is and didn't want to spend my money until I found out.

I purchased the $299 24/7 9mm from CDNN. One of the polymer striker guns, I was the most impressed by it. The gun felt good in the hand, was light and small enough to carry easily. The gun I bought was the DAO and it has to be one of the safest guns one could carry. Like all the Millenium, it has a manual safety and trigger blocks. Unlike the Glock, etc... there is no "pre-cocking" so you don't have to worry about the trigger getting hung. The trigger pull was long (no pre-cock so you are fully drawing the spring back) and a bit heavier than the Glock. I loved the rails and bought a QD laser which was a real hoot to shoot at dusk or in on overcast day.

I kept the gun for a couple of months and wouldn't have sold it, except that the FN HP's went on sale and I've wanted one of them for years. I wish I could have afforded the 24/7 and the HP, but wife urged priorities. I would like to find a PT-111 for concealed carry... the Taurus was a well built gun and should have lasted for years.

PS... I made all my money back on the 24/7 sale including shipping, FFL license fee and state tax. Not bad for a couple of months of play.

I owned the 24/7 in .40 S&W that Shoot to Kill has now. I actually regret selling it. Mine was the stainless pro - I believe there are some minor differences in the pro and the non-pro models.

If you get one in .40 or 9mm, you have the rubber grips - which are cool (love the feel) but they are a bitch to clean (and they're permanently on there). The rubber will melt with almost any solvent/cleaner, so you basically have to hold the gun upside down to clean the frame with any kind of "real" cleaner.

The Heine Sites are cool - but I don't dig the "2-dot" style - I always had an urge to "connect the dots" which drew the front site down to the dot on the bottom of the rear site and resulted in shooting low. This was easily corrected just from getting used to it - took about 200 rounds and I was shooting the center of whatever I shot at.

Mag fit wasn't exactly precision - there was always a little more play in the mag than with the Glock, XD or M&P, but it never malfunctioned as a result. The Mag-release could have probably been cleaned up on mine - I noticed that with an empty mag in, it wouldn't always drop free if I depressed the mag-release - it would disconnect, but not drop free until you depressed the mag-release all the way in (or pushed harder). This wasn't an issue unless you put an empty mag in the gun and then immediately attempted to eject the mag. I think this was caused by rough edges on the right side of the mag-release and could have easily been cleaned up, but it never did it with a full mag in it or after a full mag was in and it was emptied (i.e. release after last shot).

Shoot to Kill was right about the fact that it will shoot pretty much any ammo out there. I tried several crappy rounds of .40 hoping one would mis-fire so that I could test out the DA/SA function (this gun is different than the XDs, Glocks, and M&P in that it is a true SA/DA - if it misfires the first time, just keep pulling the trigger and it keeps firing the striker).

Single action is definitely noticebly shorter/lighter trigger pull than double action, but it has one of the sweetest double-action triggers I've ever pulled. Trigger pull was as crisp (if not better) than the Glock, the M&P, and the XD.

The gun is actually quite accurate - once you get used to the sites. The rail is more "universal" than say, the sig's or the HKs - the X200a fit right to it with the same rail fitting that worked with the Glock and the M&P. The XML and the Glock light all fit to it with no problem.

The gun felt good - period. It fit my hand perfectly (I don't have extremely large hands - the G23 feels good, but the 24x7 felt better). The rubber "ribbed for her pleasure" stuff keeps the hand dry when firing for long periods of time.

It has a two-piece recoil rod/spring and recoil was lighter than the G23. Muzzle flip wasn't an issue at all in .40. It didn't have an extremely low bore-axis, but it wasn't entirely that much higher than the G23. It comes with 2 hi-cap mags (mine in .40 was 16 I think - the capacity was impressive - I don't remember how many the 9mm was). It has a thin-wall metal mag instead of the chunky plastic Glock mag. all of the mags have finger-rests at the bottom.

I carried mine - but its not exactly a "don't worry if it gets dirty" gun since its such a pain to clean. But its definitely an inexpensive good shooting little gun. I've owned the FNP-9, the Taurus 24x7, (shot the Steyr M9 - really should have bought one), and I can say - this one is a solid little shooter.

With so many cheap gun manufacturers making guns with lots of "fancy looking" features, its easy to get snowed by all of the fancy stuff - this gun has a lot of things that are an indication that they just gave a crap when they manufacturered it. Polished feed-ramp and many polished internals. The trigger was another example of a "finished" feel. Just about everything fancy on the gun was functional and with the costs of Melonite and Tinifer, stainless is a good way to go (would have been nice if they made a stainless coated-black slide when I bought mine).

Whenever I would take out a .40 handgun to go shoot in a utilitarian way, I would always take this one. The HK, the G23 - pretty much all the others would stay behind as this one was the most fun and plenty accurate (and quite frankly the least missed if it were to be lost forever at only $369 new - which was what they were when I bought mine).

Here are some pics of it compared to my G23:

The mag release button is less than desirable. It seems to wear internally and I have seen them fail. Otherwise, they feel OK and function fine. But for a few extra dollars, the XD is aweful hard to beat.:laugh6:

I have one in .45. Goes bang every time, holds 12+1, and is reasonably accurate. Trigger is nice, and does not need to be reset if there should be a misfire. I have a really cheap light on it and use it in after dark home defense applications. Cheapest Surefire flashlight and a six dollar scope ring from Brigadoon. CB

The pro is da/sa, the other is dao. The pro offers the option of carrying cocked and locked, hammer down safety off, or hammer down and safety on.
The pro has second strike. If you pull the trigger and it doesn't go off, you pull it again for a double action strike.
