My nephew came by earlier today to show off his 1st turkey taken with a bow. It weighed in at 17 lbs, had 2 beards that were around 2 1/2 inches long.The shot was roughly 30 yards.

He had just got out of his truck and was on his way the the 'ambush point' and thought he heard a squirrel and looked over and it was a turkey. He stopped and watched it while looking for a good shooting lane. Took a step back ,seen the lane and the tom walked behind a big tree and bush to get to the lane and the rest was supper last night. yum yum
