I just returned to the Tulsa area after a ten year absence, three years in Oklahoma City, then seven years in Houston.

I am looking for recommendations on a good place in the Tulsa area to take the Oklahoma CCW class and a good indoor range. I took the Oklahoma class in 1996 in Oklahoma City and the Texas class in 2000 in Houston.

Any recommendations or comments will be appreicated.

Thanks,

P.S. - Its good to be home.

I took mine some 8-9 years ago at Tulsa Firearms.I don't reccomend them, not because of the level of instruction, but because of their policy of making you join their indoor range(an added 75 bucks to the already unrealistic price of obtaining a license for something you already have a right to do,but thats another subject for another catagory)and their rude and ignorant sales ninja's.(sorry that gives mall ninja's a bad rap) :smack:

someone will be along to reccomend a good place for you.sorry,I'm not usually this cynical,,,,,,,,,,,usually. :bah:

Your 96 certificate should still be good. If not check out Red Castle they have CCW classes every month and is about $50. On the indoor range I don't believe there is one right now except Tulsa Firearms, although Red Castle is building a indoor range but do not know when it will open.

Thanks for the information. I checked with the OSBI and my 1996 certification is still good. I went to the Sheriff's office Friday for new photos and fingerprints. My renewal application is in the works.

Just want to update my own post. I recieved a letter from the OSBI Saturday stating that my license had been sent to the Sheriff's office. I went by and picked it up this afternoon. A 90 day wait. Thanks again for the info.
