Suggestions for changes to the current format. [Archive]

I propose that we slim down the forum by weeding out or combining some of the lesser visited or cross-posted sections.
This would make the forum look busier.
Here's what I'm suggesting it should look like....

General:
general topics
Range/Club talk

legal/politics
photo album
suggestion box
classifieds

Self defense/training:
Self def/CCW
IDPA/IPSC
competition/events
Training

Firearms talk:
Handguns
rifles
shotguns
tips/tricks

AmmoTalk (1 forum)

Hunting and fishing (1 forum)

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
we could always add stuff if it is needed later

Sports could be covered there, yes. When/if this place gets busier, it would be cool to be able to have a sports section to just talk sports. People that didnt' like sports would probably appreciate it seperate from the rest of the stuff.

It would be cool to click on the Joke forum and all that was there would be jokes for the day.

Just a suggestion.

Anybody agree with me?

Altho its not very active right now, I would hate to see the section for full auto go. Maybe call it NFA weapons. And, I'm with TwoBravo, no sports section. I haven't heard one NASCAR fan on here at all, not one. (good natured kidding)

Thats what I mean. If there was a sports forum, the people that don't like sports wouldn't have to click over there and see it. That way, you wouldn't have to "wade" through all the sports on the "general" area.

Sports forum:

I just don't see the need for it. If the sports talk became a 2 or three page event,then i could understand it.
Besides,non-shooting sports are over in January. ;)

The decision is ultimately up to Kelly and he may not want to change anything at all.

looking at the current traffic,I thought my idea made sense.
When we started,everyone wanted a "this forum" or a "that forum" but most of the boards here get little traffic as it stands.
