Yeah, that's kind of the idea. One person's name per thread, must have had a transaction through our classifieds with that person to legitimately post. You get the general idea.

The message board software isn't written to handle an e-bay like environment where you can give ratings to others very well. We experimented with that a bit and people could just arbitrarily leave good or bad without any regard or ties to anything in particular. It didn't suit our needs. :(

Ol yeller what more is there to say about the job he did on my Beretta PX4. He just worked his magic.

First, Olyeller has been great about answering all my newbie questions. Secondly, he did a Carry Trigger job on my 5" XD 9. After spraying 5 rounds all over the target, because I was trying to shoot it like I did pre trigger job (I used to take up the pre-travel while getting the gun back on target, stopping when I felt resistance, the trigger is too awesome to do that now). I place my next three 16 round mags into one 3 inch hole at 15 yards. Which is good for me. Oh, and now I notice zero over-travel. Olyeller, said he was happy with the results, which was quite an understatement in my non humble opinion.

I like it so much, I'm going to have to have him replace the sear and do the full blown competition trigger job on it. I'm impressed, the trigger on my XD is just ridiculous now.

I met up with yeller last Saturday at H&H. He's a helluva guy and a very knowledgeable individual. In the mail he sent me a holster and mag pouch and a "Croc Skin" backstrap for my M&P. Lemme tell ya guys...this croc skin backstrap is da BOMB! You thought the M&P felt good before? OMG! :faint: This thing ROCKS! :w000t: I would recommend one to any and ALL M&P owners! :woohoo1: Now I'm tempted to get a trigger job done to it...but I'm still kinda leary. If it was a comp gun, I'd say HELL YEAH! :thumb: But it IS a carry piece, so I had better keep it factory specs.

Anyway...if you ever get a chance to do bizness with olyeller - GIT-R-DONE!

I just got my M&P back ,,,,

Full comp trigger job is unreal the reset is so fast and smooth I swear I can't feel it! The Croc skin stippling gives it great character it 100% useable but on same hand is not the same ole same ole.


This gun is a great example of Mikes work and another thing I really like about Mike in general.

We sat down and planed the gun in every detail.
This is MY GUN the way I WANTED IT sure he gave me some input on it but most of it is my ideas.

Packages are good too and next month when he does my carry gun it will be a package he does.

But it was great to be able to have it built my way!

A buff, no. But that's a different story. You see, I hauled this .458 all the way to Africa and shot nothing with it, so ... a 300 grain HP dropped a buff like a tub of $h1t. The .338WM however, dumped an OK whitetail like I've never seen one drop before! I knew I was gonna' shoot the second I saw him and, at about 100 yards, the world collapsed beneath him!

Mike vs. the Cheap 1911!!

Mike did the trigger and fit a S&A magwell to my Taurus, both jobs were done beautifully. He also replaced the ejector and a few other odd things. The gun is still 1000% reliable and now has a good trigger and a magwell that looks just as well fitted as any I have ever seen.

What can I say, Ol Yeller more than takes care of me. I know have a p6 that shoots very well, and a Springfield GI that won't make me bleed after shooting. He added a .220 radius Smith and Alexander grip safety to my GI that has made it much more pleasant to shoot. Not to mention that the parkerizing job looks great!

I forgot to mention in this thread that last week at USSA in the hybrid match mike custom fit, during the match, a new ejector on my STI Eagle. Seems the damn metal was harder than my files and I wqas getting nowhere fast. Mike had the right tool for the job with him and fixed me up so i could finish the match.. Thanks Mike.

Geez, does his positive feedback thread need to be any bigger? Mike hooked up my G-17 with a fitted threaded Bar-Sto that locks up tighter than a bank vault, and blended the mag well to my custom specs PERFECTLY!

A good and true comment! Olyeller did some work for me on my Ruger Mk III 22/45, and I'm delighted with the results. The factory trigger on the Mk III is fine, but there's a bit of takeup before you get down to business. With full Volquartsen magic on the trigger, it breaks like the legendary glass rod at just under 2 lbs. Price was reasonable, but the quality of work made dealing with Mike a great value for the money.

The Duracoat refinish is better than factory! I had Mike delete the Loaded Chamber Indicator, and the jams are simply gone!

Olyeller is one of those folks whose work goes beyond technical competence into the realm of art...
