Anyone like the SIG P228?
This is easily my favorite SIG pistol.(although I haven't shot a P210)
225 is a very nice carry weapon with classic good looks and traditional SIG action but is a single stack design.
The DA/SA transition doesn't bother me at all but I have decided to shoot Glocks in IDPA,so I don't have any gear for the 228.
I shoot the SIGs better than Glocks but the Glock offers a better all around carry package,IMO.
I've had issues with SIGs rusting after VERY little neglect and I don't think you should have to spend extra money for an "Uberfinish" to have corrosion resistance.
In the Past I've owned a two-toned 226 in 357 and a 229 with both barrels (357/40)
Nice shooters!
Any SIG fans?

IMO the only pistoll that sig has ever made "right" is the 225, that is near perfection as you can get.

The P228 comes with a stainless steel slide with a nitron finish on an alloy frame. The P225 is the same but has a carbon slide instead of stainless.

I have owned both of them, regret selling them too. You can get CPO P228s for less than $450 right now. Never had a Sig rust on me that was totally in MY care for the life of the gun.

Yep, your right. I had a P239 and knew it had the stainless slide but forgot that the P229 did and not the 228.

I love my 228. Grip fits my hand like a glove and the trigger is smooth and crisp. However, the reset is a little too long for my liking. Still, it's a close second to my HK's.

I agree with the reset being too long.
I'm spoiled with the Glock trigger and now the 228 seems really slow.
Mine is really beat to hell and needs to be refinished....we've been through a lot together. ;)
