No it's not the barrel either. :wink2:

I think it's factory, but there's a hole on the back of the grip near the base. It's perfectly centered and I assume that it might be for the insertion of a slug plug, but I'm not sure.

Is that normal?

Are you talking about the hole behind the mag well on the bottom of the grip? If so its normal.

No it's not normal.
I drilled it there for better air flow.. ;)

I think they (Glock) intended for a lanyard to be hooked there.

No, I meant on the back of the grip where your palm sits. There's a hole drilled into the plastic.

JP, I thought it looked like a performance enhancing mass airflow hole, but was sure. :wink2:

I belive J.P. is correct it is meant for a Lanyard. You typicaly see them on military issued sidearms i.e. M9/92fs and G.I. 45's.

It is for the insertion of a butt plug, er... grip plug. Jentra and Pearce both make one and they have a tab with a small "dot" that holds the butt plug in.

I'm gonna have to agree that it is a lanyard hole. Standard place for a lanyard, and yes, the manufacturers of the various butt-plugs have chosen this hole as a nice place to anchor their plugs in the low-colonic area.
