I think that I may have set a new state record for waiting for my CCW permit.
My fingerprints were kicked back 3 times before I went to another county that had a digital fingerprint scanner. Looking back I should have went there the first time that they kicked them back, I guess that I am hard to print with ink or something. 140 days! Sure glad to see that letter come in instead of another brown envelope. I called the sheriff and they said that they did have it and I could come and pick it up anytime during business hours. I'll probably go tommorrow afternoon and also make the traditional trip to Wal-Mart. I haven't heard this in a long time so WOOT!!!

Thanks guys. AaronT Didn't you submit your application about the same time I did? seems like I remember you posting about it about the same time I did. Anyways, I did go pick it up today. I took the wife out to eat at our favorite local Mexican restaurant, planning to do the Wal-Mart thing afterward. We were so stuffed! Didn't make it to Wally world. Maybe next time.

Yup, it'sa gun.
Carried a Beretta Tomcat .32 in a Smartcarry tonight. I know its a "mousegun" but I feel more comfortable with it while sitting down without a jacket. I have also practiced more with it than I have with the VM2. I need to get some shirts that I can wear untucked so I can start wearing the VM2 in that situation. For now I will just wear the VM2 when I can wear a jacket over it.

Well, I went and did it today. Went to Wally world and carried a "real" gun. Wore the VM2 and carried the 45. I even bought a box of WWB-JHPs. I guess that makes it official.
