When drilling the "El Pres" which way do you trun?

I've always been told to turn to your strong sdie,which I have always done.
Lately,I've been experimenting with turning toward my weakside and I find that I'm achieving a smoother draw.
It appears to have something to do with the way my cover sweeps.
I seem to clear it better that way.
Is there anything wrong with this method?

I don't have a good scientific explanation of why turing into your gun works better, but I can say confidently that its the way all the good shooters do it.

I've always been told that you turn into your gun so that you don't accidentally break the 180.

Try it both ways, and see where your gun is pointed throughout the turn if you draw early.

Oh...I don't think I'll have a problem with drawing early. ;)

I would think that turning to the weak side is taking your weapon out of service for a longer amount of time.Exposing yourself longer and even possibly telegraphing your intentions since your weapon will be exposed for a longer amout of time before you are able to engauge the target. :anyone:
