Enable custom status

I would like the option of using a custom status. Will someone enable this option?

I talked to Kelly about that but I think he feels the potential for abuse is to high to make it a user feature.
I'm all for it though,or at least giving the moderators the key to it.

Yeah, I hope we could at least try it. If it didn't work, it could be disabled again.

Perhaps we could require moderator approval of each one?

It'd just be easier if he would give the mods the key to that function I think.
