M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW), it's a belt fed 5.56 and in a pinch can also take M16 magazines.

Sorry, didn't mean to jump in there, but I just loved carrying and shooting the SAW in my Army days. I got all tingly when I saw that picture :)
