Anyone have any experience with the PTR-91 rifle? I am seriously considering purchasing one. All the reviews that I have read have been good, but does anyone on here own one. Supposed to be better quality than CETME.
I have a PTR-91, purchased from Sarco. It has functioned without flaws. I don't know about the CETME quality, I have heard that Century Arms has had some issues in the past.
All-in-all, I vote for the PTR.

Quite a bit more expensive as well. There was a review in a recent American Rifleman. They look very nice and are all American made. http://www.jldenter.com/

Sarco has a couple of models in stock, the standard model and the A1 match grade, neither with a flash hider. The match grade for me would be a waste of a good target barrel. I'm checking with J.L.D. tomorrow for P/A on a standard model with a flash hider.
Mine is the standard model, no flash hider, etc. It was more $$ than the Century Arms CETME, but I have not been dissapointed.

The guys at the Firing Line ordered my PTR yesterday. Hope to get it next week sometime.
Mack,
Let me know when you get it in, we can have a PTR sight-in shoot! I need to tweak mine a bit.

Hey D42, thanks for the link. looks interesting. Good price on the slings. Noticed that this was you first post. Welcome to the OSA, we're glad to have you here.

I would like to get one of the PTR-91K rifles and then SBR to have the factory G3K length (12" barrel) for a more handy rifle. Putting a F/A sear it in it would be fun as well.
RTG does have good prices but watch out for that parts count on the gun.

The only problem with the registered sears is the price. Might as well go for the complete rifle. I'd like to get one of the black, wide fore-ends for mine. As well as a leather sling, JLD wants 22 bucks for one. RTG only wants 9. I noticed that they had some parts listed that the ATF would probably deliver if I ordered. Ha! I think that I will stay legal.
