View Full Version : Hey Kelly......we need a lite version

I've been using the "lite version" at various websites like ar15.com
I'm definately impressed with your site and would greatly benefit from a "lite version". I like to visit the OSA on my cell phone and find it to be slow with a cell phone. The text only version on other sites moves really quickly.
I have a cable modem at home, but those with dial up internet access might find a lite version beneficial.
Thanks for making a great website.

bump to top
Bringing the thread back to the top in hopes of "the man" seeing it and letting us know if the lite version is an option.

Usually I don't like the lite versions of things - they just taste different. But, if Dr. Baker says we need it - count me in.

+1 on the lite version! colors and pictures are fine, but I already know what the site looks like. . .I just want the content.

With the new and improved OkShooters coming up, is there any plans for a lite version?
Just curious, there are times it would be handy. Like when I am on my phone or aircard.

Of course you do, you were the thread starter a year ago!
I was just curious, because with a bunch of new content, it will be handy. Heck it would be handy right now!

I was wondering if anyone would notice that.
One thing I've done to help improve the mobile experience is to use the option that let's you turn off the avatars and signatures. That makes a big difference for me.

Do you do this when you are on your mobile or all of the time. Thinking about a different handle while on my mobile so I could leave avatars, sigs, and pics off.

Starting to leave it off all the time. Try it for a few days and you might find it works for you too.

I might try that too. Thanks for the tip.

I would love to have it on the computer at home and off of the Blackberry. I might try it at home for awhile and see if I like it. Thanks for the tip.

That is how I feel too. Want to see the pics at home, but don't need 'em when I am out and about.

That's how I felt too. Then I figured that if I don't need avatars and signatures when I'm out, do I really need them at home?
I've been going without them now and it doesn't bother me at all. I allow the IMG code so I get the "posted" pics all the time.

I'm not entirely sure if the software will support it but I'll look into it after we get moved and settled into the new site.

I agree. I use my Blackberry much too often. I pull up OKShooters.Com with my Blackberry and it would benifit from a lite version. Is this possible in the future?
