The rifle is a Smith and Wesson(belive it or not) Model B in .30-06. These were made by Husqvarna in Sweden from 1957 to 1967. My grandfather gave it tome last week. He traded some Hi-Fi speakers for it in the late 70's early 80's. Lucky Me!! I just finished restoring it, as it has not been fired or maintained since he got it nearly 25 or 30 years ago. I put on the Redhead padded leather sling, and added the Simmons 3x9-40mm Master Series Scope on Tuesday night. Pretty sweet. I plan to take it out this weekend for a test run.

I hope you're talking about the gun, he may not like to be called "sweet". :wink2:

I have one in .308 they are good guns and tuff also my grandfather dropped his down the side of a mountain while hunting in new mexico (his story anyway) stock was scratch and scuffed but the gun still shot straight. he then passed it on to my dad who then passed it on to me. I have killed many deer with it.

Your grandad made a good choice on that trade. I wonder what those speakers are worth today..

I would love to get ahold of an older deer rifle in a common caliber.

All I did to the stock was rub it down with oil.
