Everone knows about H&H gun range which is great and I have a membership there but can also give a big thumbs up for the The Firing Pin in Hinton which is about 45 minutes away. Air conditioned and not crowded!
Outdoor ranges; well no one can top Harry's place really out at Canadian Ranges between Yukon and El Reno. It's really good.

Gunworld on Sunnylane and 44th has an indoor range. This fall they will be opening a second range for steelcore ammo.

I have heard that gunworld has a nice range. I can't get by their outragoeus prices on guns. Took a few steps in and looked at a few, left and have never been back.

I posted a thread in the classifieds about looking for a new/used gun. Could you check it out and see if you may have anything?
Be very wary of Gun World....prices are so high one could accuse them of outright price gouging.
Is gunworld the old Mashburn Arms?
I've heard some folks talk about it somehow being tied to Mashburn but who knows.....

If you are thinking about shooting at GunWorld----
They have a coupon page in the back of the phonebook. 30min free range time. It gives you a chance to try it out free before you pay their steep range fees. Personally, I shoot at H&H because of the cost and location.

I went to the Banner Range once to shoot and they had a sign posted that said "No Full Autos". I have no problem with that, but I was curious and I asked the guy at the counter and asked why not? His reply was that there were only two ranges in the state that were "licensed" for full auto use. This was complete bull. I could understand stating some legimate reason for no full autos, but don't lie about it.
I shoot at H&H a couple of times each week. I used to shoot at Canadian Valley when I lived on that side of town. Haven't been out there in a long time. I've got a Garand that is acting up, and I'll likely take it out to Harry for a look. Nobody in the world knows as much about the M1 as that man!

I do 99.9% of my shooting out at Canadian Valley, but I have shot at GunWorld once. Really nice range, but I don't even look at the firearms there. I used to shoot alot at Bob Howard, wish he was still open, I think it's a tire place now. :nolike:

I'm a member of, and shoot almost exclusively at, the Oklahoma City Gun Club (http://www.okcgunclub.org/). I don't know if they're accepting new members right now, or if you can even get in midway through the membership year (follows the calendar year), but it's about the nicest facility I've ever found. Archery, 600yd high power range, pistol, metallic silhouette, plinking, benchrest, shotgun, black powder, and action pistol ranges, with all kinds of activities for any interest. Check it out.

I haven't been there, but I have heard positive things about it.
Is it up to 100yds?

I'm a member too! Have they go they're plinking range fixed yet? That thing has been down for over a year!
Last time I was there, my dad hit 34 in a row without missing with a glock 34-show off!! :)
I need some practice so I can beat his record!

Canadian Valley is a 100yrd range, Gun World is a 25yrd range, Okay for pistols and the like. They let you shoot rifles up to about 30-30, and shotguns. Not sure if I'll ever go again, I hate shooting indoors, but it's as nice if not nicer than H&H.
Been thinking about joining the club just to have access to something longer than 100yrds.

I used it a couple of weeks ago. The targets on the .22 section are calibrated a little heavy, but if you shoot the top half of the steel, they fall fine.
Drop me a note, we'll go shoot sometime. I can always spend more time at the range.
OkieCruffler:
OKC Gun Club is in Arcadia, about 45 minutes from my place in Norman. Tri-City is in Goldsby, about 20 minutes from me, but not as nice as OKC Gun Club. I think it's worth the drive, and given where you are, I think the drive would even favor OKC Gun Club for you. Check out their site, there's a membership application there somewhere.

Well, I went to the okc gun range today. The plinking range is finally open! They did alot of work on it. There was a time when there would only be 1 or 2 plates that worked. They've finally got it all working and in good shape now.

When I lived in Tulsa, we used to shoot at Gilmore's aka Tulsa Firearms. About the same as H&H I guess. Now, I had a friend who had a membership out at Oil Capital Rod and Gun Club. If you've got the scratch and one's open, it's nice.

Yes, Gun World is the old Mashburn Arms store, just build new building and changed the name. Plan to walk in with a fat wallet and leave with skinny one if you buy a gun from them. But you must say that if you are looking for a collector quallity(displaytype) gun that is the place to go in Okla.
But just a mile north is Brigadoons which is a great Militarly Supplus, Bought my Naggent, SKS, and 9mm from him, good deals on supplus ammo.
I have heard that gunworld has a nice range. I can't get by their outragoeus prices on guns. Took a few steps in and looked at a few, left and have never been back.
I know what you mean but he will haggle down allot!
