Went out and did a little shooting today with the girlfriend, it was her first time to shoot the p22, or the SKS, she actually did really good. I didnt notice her flinching during any of her shots...I was rather impressed...

yeah...I got it awhile back for $100 from a friend that had had it sitting in a closet forever. I added the stock. I need a new mag, as that one is not in very good condition. Its really hard to get it in correctly...I guess I will have to head out to one of the next shows to get one, or maybe try ebay or somethin...

Thanks, She actually said she had fun and wouldnt mind going again with me anytime, so we will definitely be going again, I just need to get something for us to shoot at...
On the shoot at note, do you guys think that a 7.62 x 39 round would be stopped by 1/4" steel? if not, what about 1/2" I was thinking about making a little target out of steel, kinda like the ones you see for .22 plinking...

If you make steel targets, make sure you shoot lead not ball ammo. As for the targets, thicker will last longer.

Where are you all shooting at? I always wanted to go shoot outdoor. I just don't know anyone who has a big land out in the country where I can shoot on.

We are shooting at a friend's house out here in Harrah. He has alot of land that we go out on. That day we were just shooting by a creek, but a 1/2 mile walk on the land butts up to the North Canadian River, and we go back there too..

Thanks..:thumb: She shot my Mossberg 500A 12 gauge, but after 2 shots, decided it was too much. I think something like a 20 gauge would do her better...
