This is the current Oklahoma map from www.packing.org (http://www.packing.org) for Oklahoma, and all states that honor OK permits, or have reciprocity with OK.

I had to go through East St. Louis a couple of weeks ago.It is located in Illinois.
The one place on Earth you are most likely to need a gun and they are forbidden there.

Kansas doesn't have CCW at all; I don't know what New Mexico's problem is.
I'm surprised at the orange "Honors OK Permit" states. If they honor our permits, and our law specifically says we honor all valid permits, wouldn't that constitute de facto reciprocity?
RE: East St. Louis. Guns aren't forbidden. Getting caught with guns is forbidden. At least, that's always been my theory when I'm driving to Dayton to visit family. For the record, I try not to even stop for gas in IL; I'll be damned if I'm going to give that state one red cent of my tax dollars if I can avoid it (and that goes double for Chicago).

I think for full reciprocity, the states have to be in agreement for all the guidelines as I understand it. Like minimum age and other guidelines. If the other state differs from OK's CCW requirements, they automatically don't have reciprocity with Oklahoma.
Our state, on the other hand, has a de facto reciprocity statement:
Any person entering Oklahoma in possession of a firearm authorized for concealed carry upon the authority and license of another state is authorized to continue to carry a concealed firearm and license in this state, provided the license from the other state remains valid.
I think Oklahoma is the only state that has this type of statement, and the only state that honors every other state's permits automatically. The best state to be in!

Yeah, Kansas is a real PITA when it comes to this. Maybe it's the "progressive" mentality up around Topeka/Lawrence/KCK. I have family just across the border, and I still can't get a straight answer on whether I would have to unload and case my piece before crossing, then reload it and carry once at the family farm...they don't have state legislature preemption in KS. You're at the mercy of every little town council...
