I am thinking about getting a new rifle. I am wondering if any one has any info on the SKS vs Ak47. I don't know witch one is the better of the two. So I would appreciate ant input you all have.

I think you know that they both shoot the same round, the 7.62 X 39. The SKS are cheaper, also the older design. Standard mag is a 10 round fixed box. There are a lot of aftermarket goodies for the SKS. I think that the SKS is the more accurate of the two. The AK uses a detatchable mag, standard is 30 round but I've seen 75 round drums for them. The AK is very reliable and will take a lot of abuse and still keep on shootin'. Designed for "spray and pray" type shooting. Both are good rifles, SKS run about $150 avg, I've seen new Romanian AKs sell for about 350 - 400 at tha last gunshow I went to. There are some high end AKs available too. Milled receiver guns that sell for considerably more.
How is the Sooner Glock Girl doing? Hope that her surgery went OK.
