I've been very interested in this weapon.
Did you get the 20 inch or 16 inch barrel?

It is the PTR-91 F. The barrel is 18" heavy target with flash hider. The 16 is optional as well as a 24". I don't think that they offer a 20. I've been looking it over real close. Seems to be very well made. I can't wait to shoot it. I'll give a report when I do. I'll post pics soon too. Have you got that AK you've been looking for yet? The guys up here at the Firing Line build a very nice one on their own milled receiver. I talked to them about them tonight when I picked up the PTR.

Have not found one yet.
I'm looking for a more baseline, cost-effective model than the Firing Line builds.
AK's are meant to be inexpensive.:)

I've seen a few Romanians at the last couple of gunshows, 350 for fixed stock, 399 for the folder. The last one was at the RK show a couple of weeks ago there in Tulsa. There is another RK this comming weekend at the same place. Trade center at Expo Square. If you dont mind paying 10 bucks to get in.
You will be a happy camper when you shoot it too :nutkick:
We sold those when I worked at OAS. Excellent rifles! Great shooters too. You will be happy with it.

I have only got to shoot about 20 rounds through it so far. So far so good. Doesnt kick as much as I have been told it would, not any worse that my Poly-Tech M-14 but less muzzle rise. The charging handle is a bit different and the lack of "hold open on last round" are the only things that stand out. A very well made weapon, the finish is A+, not a scratch or blemish on it anywhere, (yet). Easy to field strip, no tools needed. Had to get the book out after I got it apart. The roller locking mechanism is different but easy to understand after you figgure it out. I'm still very happy with it. Hope to get it out to a 100 yard range sometime soon. I need to get together with MDT over at Happy Hollow for that PTR sight in shoot.
