They mention an available 20" barrel, but don't say when it will be available?

Scroll down to the 4th picture. Look closely at the one that shows the business end. Something looks fishy.

The lock washer looking thingy? Strange.
I want one! To go with my 220 SAO. Guess one powerball ticket can't hurt.
the "lock washer looking thingy" might be part of an adjustable gas system.....

Might be, I was just guessing at what doc thought looked fishy.
although it would be wierd to have an adjustable system on a semi-auto only version....any word of a military/police select fire system? That would be sweet.

It definitely has an adjustable gas system, but I was referring to the lockwasher on the muzzle, which I would guess is for the flash suppressor. I dunno, but I want one.

I am not really that impressed with the 556. I would rather see them release something along the lines of the 551/552.

The flashhider is not tightened on theer, hence the split washer. When installed and tightened, it will be ormal looking. Just a press photo.
I, for one, do not like anything about the new Sig. I dig the real deal, but this sure isnt it. I always thought the read 55a/552 would never be here, as Sig doesnt own the rights to it, Swiss Arms does. Swiss Arms has stated that they would dnot water the quality of the gun down, and thence the sot, to suit the American buyig market. Sig had no problem doing this, and has, according to what little Ive seen. WTF is the deal with a collapsible stock on a gun with no gas tube?
I think that if Armalite would fix the AR180 up a bit, and replace the poly lower with the original AL lower, and offer it in a 16" carbine verison, it would outsell the Sig. The 180 would do everything the Sig would for a lot less money.

I've seen complaints about this on both sides already. Some prefer it, some don't it seems.

I meant recoil buffer tube, not gas tube. Just caught that.
