I'll be there with my newest creation :woot:

I'd recommend wearing your OK Shooters T-shirt to help identify yourself.
If you haven't got one, you can order one now and have it in time for the shoot.

The rules indicate all new members must bring ammo for the old guys.

Sure I'll bring ammo and clean your guns But I always clean guns at my house ,so if you don't mind leaving them with a complete stranger then, let's do it!

Now it looks like the 18th I won't be there until about 10:00 or a little after. Maybe you could tape a sign up on the glass like "OK Shooters on Lanes ....."

Otherwise you guys will have to wave at me, I will probably be wearing an old, plain green Army field jacket with a grey "USA" sweatshirt. And I think Mrs NavyLT is coming too.

As a noob, all I have to bring is ammo?!? Cool, I won't tote my guns then! :-)

If this crap keeps up, leave early and drive careful tomorrow on the way to the range.

"store use" ???

I can see it now....... we meet up at SW and everybody picks out a new piece and we go do an OSA blast and send the dirty guns back to work with Hoov.

Sounds like a plan to me. Where do I sign up?

I have a buddy that said he wants to go and if he dosn't I don't think I will make it. I have front wheel drive but he has 4 wheel drive and loves to drive in this crap, personally I can't stand driving in crappy weather.

I say we postpone, its 10 degrees here. I was driving about midnight last night, and it took me 45 minutes to go what normally takes 25. I don't want anybody hurt trying to get to an OSA gathering. Besides, it'd probly take me an hour and a half to get there.

I would have liked to have gone shooting Saturday. My wife and I went to Nashville to see the grandkids (they are in college there). We left on Thursday, and came home yesterday. Took 15 hours to drive 700 miles, one stretch in Arkansas from Memphis to Little Rock is about 130 miles and it took 5 hours to drive.

I don't think Arkansas owns a snowplow as they had not graded ONE single bridge. I will never go through Arkansas in the winter again! Or at least til I get rested up from this trip.

Well, obviously I didn't make it either. My wife and I were planning on coming but things came up. I even bought more ammo yesterday. Oh well there will be a next time.

Stepper, sorry to hear you have been so sick.

Thanks! I just got up and ate for the first time, but I'm getting that "sea-sick" feeling again.....I might get to go to the doctor is this keeps up.

I was there, but on the rifle side. Had my SKS, a borrowed .54 cal muzzle loader and my 9mm. I guess I should have checked the pistol side but I don't know what any of you look like :-)

Should have introduced myself. I was one of the two guys shooting ARs to your immediate right. I hadn't checked this board for a couple days so I missed the meet time at 2pm...thought I had missed it. I did chat with Hoov for a while though.

Cheers!

Holy Spent Brass, Batman, I was there from 2:00 until close! I met Glockusmaximus and his bud. I keep finding old friends that do not know that I have moved on from "ye olde store." We shot everything; we were passing guns around like joints at a Grateful Dead concert. My bud and co-worker, Duane, brought his new Bushmaster Varminter. Tack Driver! He even put a scope so cheap on it that Stepper would blush. You can one hole it all day! We shot a Desert Warrior. Excellent. The 686 was a lot of fun, too. The cheap Savage in 17 with the accu-trigger was the one we liked the most. No recoil! Too bad you guys missed. I am glad that they close at 6:00. I lost count at 500 rounds. I was tired. But, I could do it again today!

Oh yeah, there was the guy in between my lane and my friends' lane. Have you ever felt sorry for someone because they obviously had not been shown the way? Is it your duty to point out problems? I found myself watching in amazement as he sprayed oil down his barrel after each magazine he ran through his Hi Point rifle. I never said anything until he was shooting through the plastic rest in the lane. Nice guy, he offered up his Rem oil and whatever else he had. What would you do?

1. I was not THAT guy! I thought that might be Hoov who was against the wall, but guess I am a little shy :-) at introducing myself.
2. That must have been after I left at about 3:00pm.
3. What do you do in that situation? I don't know whether to mention something to someone who could obviously benefit from a tip or not. Now if they are shooting holes in the benches I might be inclined to say something because I may have to shoot there too.
