I read the following on AR15.com. Looks interesting.
Wolf introduced a brass cased 75 grain Multi-Purpose Tactical .223 load at the SHOT Show. It's being manufactured by Prvi Partizan in Serbia, and is brass cased, boxer primed and features a HPBT Match type bullet. The round is specifically designed to shoot well when fired in a 1-9" twist barrel, and it has a cannelure to prevent bullet set-back during feeding in autoloading weapons. Terminal performance is supposed to be similar to MK262 Mod 1.

That's interesting. I didn't read all of the thread, but didn't see any mention of price. Is this stuff indoor range friendly?

Oooooooohhhh, I need to get my hands on some of that ammo for target practice. I tried shooting the 55 gr. Academy cheap stuff (2.86/20 rds) today in my AR and I was unable to hit the broadside of a barn with it. That's what happens with a 1:7 twist barrel and light, short bullets though:(
I need to find some cheap, heavy stuff:D

I was at Brigadoon's the other day but I didn't see any of it out for sale. I'll have to ask them if they are going to be getting any next time I go in there.

I believe its manufactured by Prvi Partizan. They are a very high quality manufacturer in Serbia, IIRC.

Can I be nosey and ask how much a case goes for?
What twist rate is your barrel?

Looking forward to a range report.
Would you be willing to sell and ship 4-5 boxes?
ETA: Saw below that you bought 55gr, not 75gr. Didn't think that the 75gr was out yet.

The case was $179 I think..... normal Wolf was $129.
Couldn't tell you the twist rate on my barrel..... haven't ordered my upper yet..... still deciding.
I do have an AK chambered in 5.56 though...

GMThunder, are you sure you bought the 75 grain Wolf .223? They are making a milspec 55grain brass cased load now, made by Prvi Partizan also. It has been my understanding that the 75grain load isn't due for another month or so yet.
Don't get me wrong, I would absolutely love it if the 75grain load was available and selling for 179/k. That is an outstanding price for a brass cased load even if it is a 55gr load.

Anyone know if Wolf .223 is steel or lead core? If not steel core, anyone know of any local places that carry cases of it?

Sportsmans Warehouse has it by the case. The projectile is not steel core. I bring a magnet and test it before I buy.

I **think** it was $3.09/box. If you buy a full case they give a 5% discount.
When I bought my last case they were having a sale so I got it pretty cheap.
