Red Castle and self made target stand?

If I make my own stand for the pistol range could I take it out there? The last two times I have been out there the pistol stands have been locked up and have not been able to use them. I made my own and was planning on just taking it when I go out there. Anybody ever done this?

I don't see why it would be a problem as long as it is placed in the proper position. If no one else is using that range at the time the 'proper position' has some leeway. We have taken our own steel plates (so we wouldn't punch holes in them poor little chickens) out on the high power range and used them with no problem. I just threw away about 10 'target holders' just like the one in your picture the other day. They were in the back of the store and we will never need that many so I pitched them. Wasn't even thinking of holding targets. :faint:
