Got my Oil Capitol membership confirmation today. I live 10 minutes away, so now I will get to do a lot more shooting.

I want to get more involved with IDPA, but I usually end up working Saturdays. I am hoping that when I have more daylight, I can get up there on weekdays and set up some of the COF's that Jack O. designs for the matches. If they will let me, I want to try running through the courses with my carbine as well.

Other than that, I will mostly be plinking or fishing with my boys, and when summer starts I will likely start using the archery range. I would like to try some of the shotgun sports someday.

I really got lucky. A day or two before they got my check, a member transfer came up and saved me almost $200. There are a few more memberships available.

Well, while i really like the pistol courses, the shotgun fields are excellent! I've heard from many that they shot their best scores at Oil Capital. If or when you get interested in skeet or trap drop me a line and i'll be glad to met up with you and go over some of the basics of the game. For me, it's incredibly addictive. Nothing like smoking a clay. Also you'll find that the shotgun sports are very social. On thursday's several members show up to shoot and will be out there till 9 or 10 o'clock. Usually somebody brings something to eat or they cook out, but it's always alot of fun. It's my busy season, otherwise i'd be out there right now myself. Have fun and welcome to the club.
