Man we are screwed either way we go. Thanks Randi Miller for getting Bill Lafortune the nomination. Medlock was close but didn't pull it out. now we get to choose between empty suit Bill Lafortune and Cathy Taylor. Those are two terrible choices and the city is in for more of the same if not worse. Also we have Oral Roberts, a couple other chumps and the FOP for getting behind miller she never had a chance.

That's what free elections are all about. If you want to contribute, you run.
I don't care for the results either but I vote for who I believe in. I hardly think this makes a person a "chump".
Either way, I think I may end up voting for an ultra-liberal in this election. I've never voted for a democrat in any election.
The horrors never cease.:puke:

If you support a spoiler that has no chance of winning to try and take votes away from someone that is going to tottaly screw up your good ole boy network , and that causes them to win ala Ross Perot. Then IMO that = CHUMP.
On a side note can we get someone to charge Randi Miller and Mr. Buchert for adultery. They are both married so it should hold up.

Well, it's pretty obvious I won't be voting in the general now.
I won't help either one win.

I would have voted for McCorcel (mispelled) in the general - I won't vote for LaFortune again and I can't vote for a lawbreaker - first time ever I might sit one out!!

I was thinking that would be the best thing really is if no one votes. If they get a super low turnout that can speak volumes imo.

I guess we'll just start consulting you to determine who gets to run in free elections.
I will vote for who best represents my position and I suggest anyone else should vote for whomever they think will do the best job.
We get morons in office because we come up with moroni ideas like only voting for a candidate because we think they can win.
I refuse to support or give my vote simply because someone tells me a candidate can win.
That is called having principles, not being a chump. Although I can see how some people who live their lives being critical of others and operate without principle would not understand that idea.

Talk to your boy Tim Harris and see what he has to say.

Although I don't care for the choices available for mayor, I am still going to go vote. I don't think people should be able to gripe if they did'nt vote. Also, this is a fairly big election year with the governor's and the district attorney's office up for grabs. BTW, has anybody announced if they are going to run against Tim Harris?

Ben Faulk, you can vote for him. talk to him yesterday. Ultra Conservative almost leaning to Libertarian. Pro-gun, pro-cop, anti-tax, and limited government. There is to many proposals to vote for. so what ever you do, go vote.

When ranting about political issues, I try to be as accurate as I can & to do my research beforehand. Thatway, I don't falsely attribute actions or dialogue to the wrong 'players'.
Also, in my experience I've found that a lot of people love to do this exact thing to Oral Roberts simply because he's a religious figure & 'religion-bashing' seems to be en vogue now.
Guess it's OK to do that in this forum?

No, I guess I'm just saying maybe you are coming on a little too strong in your first few posts. No biggie
