Need a little help with this one, I'm looking for a smaller carry gun. I carry my G19 or G23 and my extra G23 is always in my truck, but I'm thinking something a little smaller for the front pocket or back pocket in one of those wallets?? Seeing I have never had anything of that size thats where I need your help. I would like to keep away from .22 or that PFS .25acp. Somewhere around the $200 to $300 range.

I have a Kel-Tec P3at. It is so small you could pass it in a handshake. It's light enough that J.P. could wear it in his doo-rag.
It's not the best gun in the world, but you will struggle to find a time that you can't conceal it.
Buman Bill,
Have you looked at a little Smith J-frame....maybe a 642?
Dr. Baker,
Can I tell *you* where to wear my Desert Eagle?

Have one and like it a lot, but its about the same size as my Glock 26. I'm thinking something in a auto.
Ditto on the P3AT. That piece is so small and handy, I probably carry it more than my G36 or Para Companion. Especially during these hot Okie summers. Shorts, T-shirt, and .380 in the front pocket.

Will it go bang every time I pull the trigger?? Any problems?? What's a good price on them??

I bought a Beretta Tomcat 32 this spring. Sweet little gun. I like the tip up barrel too. I looked at the Keltecs. IMHO, the only thing that they had over the Tomcat was price.
I'm not confident at all with mouse guns.
Them itty bitty calibers just don't give me the warm fuzzies.
I used to carry a Seecamp when I had to be 100% concealed but I have since learned to conceal a full sized weapon with confidence.

Although I think pocket carry is generally a poor choice given how good IWB and other holsters have become today, if you absolutely have to carry in a pocket, carry a revolver (i.e. j-frame Smith) over a pocket auto.
Autos are not tolerant of neglect and pocket carry is super dirty.
Either way, consider dressing around a better mode of carry i.e. Barami hip grips or an IWB.

the trigger pull on the P3at is about 23.8 pounds, so there's no chance of it "accidentally" going off in your pocket.
I was forced to employ pocket carry on the job for a number of years and I second Mr. Brown's comments. I tried to carry a Colt .380 and found it very unreliable. Switched to the S&W J-Frame and had no problems in various climates. I especially like the stainless models for carrying in this manner.

I use a pocket holster for my G26 and have no problems at all. I don't notice much of any "dirt" when I clean it. Every time I pull the trigger, it goes bang.

Move the decimal one place to the right and you will have the weight of the P11 trigger pull.

Budman - You said the 642 revolver is not much smaller than your 26. What about mass? Does it feel lighter to carry around?
I was considering getting a 642 to carry when the 26 seems like too much (summer time heat). If there isn't much difference, I think I'll put my money in something else.

The width is about the same but the weight might be a little less, I'll check..

The gun is 4in long, but you have to pull the trigger 3.5inches to fire or so it feels. Maybe we should call Ripley's.

I carried a Colt Government Pocketlite .380 for years and loved it! Just sold it a couple of weeks ago to get my Glock 27 - wish I could afford to keep all the guns I have ever had!
