View Full Version : Who's ready for hunting season(s)?
OK, the thermometer is in the 90's and I'm getting kind of bummed out. I keep telling myself that it's not that far until bow season...then black powder...then rifle...then duck/goose..... :) . I CAN"T WAIT!!!!
I've been practicing with my bow (just got a whisker biscuit put on), I am making excuses to sight in rifles early. I go to my garage to stare at my climber....this is pathetic.
Come on fall!!!!

I know the feeling. I haven't got my bow down yet but I have been eyeballin' it. I like the whisker biscuits, I've got one of the original types. I want to get one of the new ones with the slot in the side. The only bad thing about them is they are a little hard on the fletching. I like feathers and fletch my own arrows.
Duravanes or Speedflite hold up better w/ the WB.
Helps to put a drop of glue on the leading edge.
I have far too much stuff going on this year to dedicate any serious time to bowhunting and besides....I no longer have a bow.
This must be corrected. :)

I'm sorry, I have re-read this statement over and over and I just don't get it. I have never seen this combination of words used together, in fact, it almost hurts my brain to see these words arranged this way in a sentence. :)
JP, sorry dude, hopefully you 'll be able to get out to BP/ rifle hunt even if bow season is out!!
Well,I just have a lot of pressing legal matters happening in my life right now,a baby on the way, trying to get a house, and my property (where I hunt) is 100 miles away.
As soon as I can afford a new bow,I'll get one but it is low priority for me right now (ask my wife and lawyer ;) ).
I actually prefer bowhunting to firearm season.
I know I'm full of excuses but i've just got a whole headfull right now.
I'm looking forward to fly fishing trips more than hunting.I'll take fly fishing anyday. :)
