AK and Sks's

Bought this EO Tech today to try on the Ak. Never used one before so should be fun! Thought I would through in some Sks pics as well. Don't ask me why I put the M1 Garand in with those pictures. :anyone:

EOtechs are great. I have one on my AR and love it. I have Russian PK-23s on a couple of my AKs and a Kobra that is taking up safe space.

I have an EOTech holosight that I used on my 300 WM pistol barrel and it wouldn't hold center. (At least not out at 100yds) I don't think it could handle the pulse from the 300. I've currently got it on my .223 barrel and it seems to be holding fine. It appears like if you don't have too much recoil, it'll hold on center. And, it suffers from parralax quite a bit. Otherwise, the holosights are very cool to shoot with. In case you're wondering how I know about the paralax, if you use a laser bore sighter so you can see exactly where your gun is pointing, look down the holosight and move the target around from side to side. It's pretty significant. (Like about 3 inches at 25 yds.) It shows it as well when firing. Best group I could get with the .223 and holosight was about 2 inches at about 30 yards.

Yeah I think probably they are more suited for .223 guns. The 7.62x39 packs a lot harder punch so I will have to see how it does. Mine is the bigger one compared to the one you have and is supposed to be completly mil-spec. Hopefully I will get to see this weekend!
