My wife and I have pulled out two limits of crappie each dat this past weekend. Their on the bank, Eufaula is the best bet to catch your limit of good fish. I am tired of running a fillet knife.

Also the Sandbass are great last 30 minutes of sunlight. We have pulled in over 100 this weekend, good slabs.

Go get em, fellas!

Jigs. In the morning I use cork an jig(Christmas tree) with jig trailing about a foot behind. In the evening I just use a jig(shad color, Christmas tree, red/white, crawdad color,). I have caught them for a week now in the evening on all those colors.

Ahhh, yes. Crappie & Sand Bass. There is a place, somewhere on Lake Eufaula, some SECRET Place on Lake Eufaula--where a certain Okie from the historic Cross Timbers, makes his annual pilgrimage from the Yankee state in which he's partially forced to reside for the time being. At this secret location, from June to October, one can count on filling all of one's containers with Crappie & Sand Bass.

You first begin with 4 dozen Minnows and an ice chest full of beer. When dusk arrives you put your lights in the water. Then you begin to fill your live well with those delicious predators. Then, by the time all of your Minnows are gone the Shad should be schooling around your lights. At this time you take your little net with the long handle, the one commonly used to dip leaves and debris out of swimming pools, and begin to dip Shad out of the lake for placment on hooks.

Shortly thereafter, your live well should be full and the beer stock depleted enough so that you can then begin to fill the ice chest with Crappie. Then somewhere around 4 or 5 AM the ice chest should be so packed with Crappie that they are knocking the lid off. This is when you know it's time to quit and clean fish, which you do until 6 or 7 AM, at which time you eat breakfast, got to bed, then get up in the late afternoon to prepare to do it all again.

My favorite recipe is a good beer batter(Budweiser) dipped and fried to golden brown. Of course this meal is not complete until the following have been prepared with the fish. Fried taters, 2 pans of corn bread, an onion sliced up, and a pot of brown beans. That will feed a hungry crew and is my favorite meal. The reason for 2 pans of corn bread is for cornbread and sweetmilk later that evening.
