I am thinking of getting on of these, just looking for some feedback on what some of you think about this product. I dress very casual alot of sports attire so IWb isnt always the best since I dont always wear a belt.

Thanks again

Better than a fanny pack. Good luck trying to draw from a seated position.

The draw cycle takes practice but it is probably the most concealeable method available.
I carry in one when clothing dictates no other method.

I'd let you try mine out...uh...but I'm afraid these ain't the kind of things men should be sharin' with one another.

Kind of like a jock-strap. :wink2:

So is it wierd that my high school only had 11 jock straps and we switched with offense as we ran off the field????

It's *more* than wierd.

They have a 30 or 60 day return policy so it is easy to try out. I like mine for specific uses.

I hope mine wasn't a "tried out" one.

:screwy: I thought the instructions for the smartcarry said to do the sniff test before you tried it on.

And if you smell something?

I have a SmartCarry and it is my second one as I returned the first one. I tried doing a SC Medium with a G30 and I found it too thick and big. I then decided to try it with a G26 and found it much more comfortable. It works great for me because I am often picking up my toddler or doing stuff movement wise that would be harder to do with IWB. Sometimes I go IWB, but most of the time I use the SC because of the added concealability. It certainly will take longer to draw with SC, that is a tradeoff.

Also, keep in mind that they will let you return ONE of these. If you have ever returned one before, they will tell you the trial period doesn't apply to the second one... This almost turned me off on ordering the second one, but I really wanted to give it a shot and it was worth it.

BTW, the suggestion for a G26/27/33 is the medium, but I ordered the small because I think it fits better...

Good Luck,

Alan

Do you think a 19\23 would ride in on ok or would it be best if I went with the 26/27 ?

I'm 5'8 180lbs and the G26 works very well for me. The 19/23 is about 1/2" longer and 3/4" taller, but at least no thicker. I would advise a medium sized SC for the 19/23. I'd bet you would find the G26 a little more comfortable, but I would think most people could SC a 19/23 pretty easily. I think I could if I tried. Pleated shorts help a bunch to do a good job of concealing, but I usually wear a polo top over my shorts anyway...

Good Luck,

Alan

Hi,

I'll bet a SC and a 19 will work well for you especially since you have a couple more inches of height than me. The 19 is a great model, I had one for about a year and a half before trading it for my 26. At least you won't have to pay $89 for a 15 round magazine like I did back then!

Thanks,

Alan

Ya being this heavy I have trouble finding IWB that work very well for me without a big shirt to go over everything.
I dont know I need to go out and shoot one at Tulsa Fire Arms and see how I like it? Can you rent guns there if you are not a member?

I think you DO have to be a member there to rent. They take the price of all your rentals off a gun purchase, but this really doesn't help much since they are so overpriced to begin with...

Good Luck,

Alan
