my new hog dog pups...

picked up my two new hog dog pups... their parents can wind & catch big wild boar, so i'm looking forward to some excitement in the woods....

Even if I don't get to shoot, I love to watch good dogs of any variety work. I would just about as soon watch the dogs as do the shooting. If they work out, holler at me sometime so I can come watch them in action!

hehe.. sure.. i'm hoping these dogs will catch as good as their parents do.. if thats the case, i won't have to take more than a knife with me hunting

they're half african lion hound (rhodesian ridgeback) and half catahoula leopard bulldog

not sure i want them to catch, will likely just train them to bay up proper hound-style...

then i'll shoot the hog...

if i train them to catch, would suck to have the 45-70 blow thru the hog and potentially hit the dog on the other side...
