Was you 2nd or 3rd ?
I'm going to have to try that one of these days.
Dr Baker,
Maybe I can come down there and you can take me to the match and you buy the beer afterwards.
Then,You can come up here and shoot an IDPA match with me,and you can buy the beer afterwards.
Sound like a winner?

Let's do it.
I'll need you to stop by budman-bill's place and pick something up on the way.

I was 3rd. 1st,2nd, and 3rd were all very close.
I was still pretty pumped. I'm not much of a shooter so that was a major accomplishment for me.

Okay, help the newbie. What is the course on these bowling pin shoots?
DrBaker
07-23-2005, 12:59 PM
5 bowling pins on a table. Timed until the last pin is knocked off the table. You do 6 tables during the event. You worst time is thrown out and the remaining 5 times are added together. Lowest time wins.

So a person so inclined could shoot the course with a 5 shot snubby. Could be interesting.

Definately. One person used a revolver last night.

Definately. One person used a revolver last night.
The guy that is doing my SDA liscense course, he had a student bring his IDPA Glock out all tricked out with crap. Then he was shooting a 1886 single action only colt revolver. At 15 feet they started a rapid fire contest, 6 shots each, as fast as they can pull the trigger. The Glock won by very very little margin. But the Colt had tighter group of 2 1\2 inches to the glocks 3 1\2.
It was intresting to say the least. He will turn his colt upside down and shoot with his pinky better than most of the students.
Dude is crazy.
But fun to watch, want him to come out there one night and see how he does.

Bring him out on a night that I don't go. I don't need one more person spanking me. Especially with their pinky.

I've thought about trying to get some shooters together from the green corner of the state to carpool. Sounds like alot of fun.

I really want to. I think I'd probably take my 19 too. I'm not as accurate with it as my others, but I may give it a shot. I'm pretty accurate with my sig 239 9mm, so that is possible too. It only holds 8 rounds though, so that may not be good.
DrBaker
07-30-2005, 10:24 PM
You could do 8+1 in your Sig. The limit is 10rds per mag. If you have a backup mag or if you're a good shot, you'll have no problems.

Its at 6:30pm on friday nights. As far as I know, its every friday night.
Once again, I won't be able to go this friday night because I've got a previous engagement to attend.
It sounds like a good time.

I like both cities. Tulsa is definately prettier in my opinion. I'd live there, but OKC is home.
