Anyone shoot this stuff? It comes in a hundred round box and sell for $15.97 if I recall.
The other day I was stocking up on WWB value packs to shoot that day and the local Walmart was out of WWB. So, I decided to try one box of the Remington 115gr JHP.

I got more WWB at another Walmart and off to H&H I went. The Remington was the last ammo I shot and I had THREE failed primers using my G-26. That is a lot for one box of ammo.
Anyone else have issues with this ammo? I know I won't buy any more of it and even if I was so inclined to use it as carry ammo I wouldn't now.

Cheers!

I've always been a fan of Federal or Winchester ammo. I've never liked Remington. I shoot Winchester White box or Federal American Eagle for practice stuff (.40 S&W) and Winchester Ranger SXT (new Black Talons) on duty. Remington sux!

i've never had a problem with the Remington stuff but I usually shoot Blazer.
Make sure your firing pin channel is clean and oil free.

I bought a case of the UMC because Academy ran out of blazer..... no problems as of yet through 500 rds of it.

The striker channel on the Glock in question is clean and the striker moves freely. That was my first thought. But, the impressions on the failed primers is very deep. Must have been a bad lot.

Cheers!

It's possible the Remington/UMC is slightly different in dimensions and has a 'harder' primer, and the gun fired slightly out of battery. My CZ mags love the stuff as there seems to be an appreciable difference in dimension between it and say Blazer. Of the thousands of rounds of Rem/UMC I have put through a handful of pistols, I can't recall a single ammunition-related failure, though it seems more plausible than a problem with the pistol.

If you are talking about the remington in the green and white box,i've never had problems with it in SIGs or Glocks.

Thanks for the input.

I'll chalk it up to a bad lot. If I would have kept the rounds or even the box I might have given the Rem folks a call alerting them to my issue. As it is I tossed both. (yes the 100rd green and white box)
The two hundred rounds of WWB and the other 97 rounds of Rem 115 functioned flawlessly in a G19 and the G26 during the same session.

Cheers!

I agree. I have never had a problem with the UMC. We shot 500 rounds of it through autos and a revolver the other day. I have always heard the WWB is not the most accurate and I concur sometimes.

I had a 38 special Remington Green/White box UMC fail to fire. There is a good dimple in the primer. Still have it...
