Had a chance to pick one of these up for cheap but I didn't know much about it so I passed. Any good?
Hit or miss.
I had an older 4" 38sp that was an excellent gun,
Recently I shot two that were not so good.
Tight chambers,burrs,rough triggers,loose parts.(both)
If you know anything about even remedial gunsmithing, they make good fixer uppers ;)
JP nailed it, hit or miss. I had a 3" .38 that I picked up in a trade and it was really nice. A friend had a snubby that wasn't worth 2 cents tho. For the price, they make good truck or tackle box guns. I really wish I hadn't sold the 3".

I've got a little M88 snubby that I've run thousands of rounds thru that just keeps getting better the more I use it. My dad has a 971 that he carries when he's in the mood for a 357. As far as I know he's never had a problem with it either.

Bought a .357 snub about 10 years ago - It was alright - not the most reliable though. Let's just say I traded it for a desk! That's right a desk! If that tells you anything

I'd say that speaks volumes about the gun.
