I've been shooting informal clays since I was old enough to cock my thrower, but I've been wanting to try something abit more formal. So what do you shoot and where? What's the best way to get started?

there's a couple of great places in Tulsa for skeet, but nothing really close for sporting clays. the clays range at Red Castle is nice, but you gotta make a day of it just to justify the drive out there.

I've been wanting to try it. Not sure where you can do it in the OKC area.

I may have to give it a whirl on my private range.

You can at Tulsa Gun Club - I wish they would let you use handguns for that!

Handguns? You must be a better shooter than me. When we have the get together, I'll throw some beer bottles in the air for ya!

OKC area:
OKC Gun Club (Arcadia) has a great skeet and trap range; I shoot there when I can. If anybody wants to go, I'll be glad to take guests.
Oklahoma Sporting Clays--across the street from OKCGC. Very nice sporting clays and five-stand range. A little pricey, but loads of fun.
